Our vision
At I-CAR, we believe every person in the collision repair industry should have the knowledge, skills, and information needed to perform complete, safe, and high-quality repairs—for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
Who we are
I-CAR Australia launched in September 2006 as part of I-CAR’s global expansion, joining Canada and New Zealand.
We operate by the industry, for the industry under a licence agreement, with a strong focus on post-qualification skills development, education, and training across the entire collision repair sector.
As a membership-based organisation, I-CAR Australia is governed by a Board of Management made up of industry representatives. We are also registered as a charitable organisation, ensuring our work remains aligned with industry advancement and public benefit.
Our funding primarily comes from training and services—allowing us to remain independent and unbiased in developing industry-wide programs.
What we do
I-CAR develops and delivers technical training programs for professionals across all areas of the collision industry.
We also act as a knowledge-sharing platform, bringing the industry together to support best practice in safe and proper collision repair.
